Natural medicine kit for the car

I don’t care if you travel a lot or not… a natural medicine kit for you and your family in your traveling vehicle is ESSENTIAL! This holistic kit of remedies has all of our necessary go-to products to ensure a comfortable drive across the country.

Note: this is NOT a first aid kit. We have an extensive first aid kit for emergencies to treat serious wounds and emergency situations (pictured and linked below). This survival kit is more for the tummy ache, owey, bug bite, dirty hands situations that the daily routine roadtrip brings.

Our kit does lean holistic and mostly all natural.

But here’s my advice to you:

  • Don’t let the price of natural remedies deter you from making a kit at all.

Some things in my kit I KNOW I need to trade in for a holistic remedy - but the cost of it isn’t in our budget (yet). I haven’t let that stop me from putting together an extensive kit, and hopefully I won’t even need the products before I can trade them in for better ones!

  • Use the online stores you trust.

Most of these items are pretty common and can be found the places you already shop - don’t make it complicated. My favorite shop is Earthley, and what you’ll see most of my products below are from. They’re affordable, and you can’t beat the quality.

Our natural medicine kit for road trips:

Tinctures and medicinals we use in our road trip car kit
  • Salve Sticks (good for cuts, wounds, bug bites, and removing toxins from the skin)

  • Band-aids

  • Wipes

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Lip balm

  • Tums (my son struggles with the spiciness of my digestive tincture, and thinks Tums are a great candy. So I keep some on hand specifically for him)

  • Digest-Support tincture

  • Activated Charcoal (sometimes you just have to grab that fast food lunch!)

  • Kick Ass Immune Activator, Get Over It, and Kick-It Immune for Kids by WishGarden (if you’ve met me, you know I SWEAR by these products! I have them on hand in the car and in the house as routine immune defense and our emergency immunity go-to)

  • Mama’s Tummy Relief by Earthley Wellness (helps with nausea)

  • Ibuprofen and Pain Potion tincture

  • A pad/tampon (ladies, if there isn’t one in your glove box there should be one in your care kit!)

  • Small pack of travel tissues

Our full first aid kit:

First responder EMT trauma bag.

This travels with us all of the time in case of serious emergencies. It is VITAL you get trained on how to use a full trauma bag so that you know HOW to use it and quickly in case of a life-threatening emergency.

While the ailments are plentiful, we’ve found this all natural medicine kit to be one of our favorite bags to grab and GO, confident that we have what we need on hand in the car at all times. It bounces back and forth with us between the car and the house, too, since we use many of the same products daily.

What did we miss, and what’s in YOUR road trip survival kit?
